a case of mistaken identity

Imagine my surprise to find that many students have claimed to see a vision of none other than myself roaming about the halls in a dressing gown. And, of course, Lupin encouraged this misconception with the sage advice to "riddikulus" the said vision.

Ladies and gentlemen (and I say that with the most liberal intent), if indeed I was a nightmare to anyone, then unless someone has an unnatural fear of me in a dressing gown, then the said vision would have already been riddikulus'ed.

Additionally, I seem to remember this being a very elementary Third year DADA lesson. If memory serves me well, and it always does, doesn't a boggart change with every person who looks upon it? Unless there are an inordinate amount of students here at Hogwarts that place me at the forefront of their most secret fear. If this is the case, then I shall endeavor to enjoy teaching class.

However, I think this is a case of students who are "joining the bandwagon." Shall I hold my breath waiting for the next product of the rumor mill? What is it to be next?

Nice try, Hogwarts.
