I am pleased to report that Professor Black has regained consciousness as of this afternoon.
He is in poor humor, grumpy and quite rude, and most concerned about the state of his hair, all of which indicates that he is well on his way to a full recovery.
As Madame Pomfrey has restricted his movements to the perimeter of the hospital wing, Professor Black has asked that I convey to you all his gratitude for your thoughtful get-well cards. He appreciates your taking your time out of your busy schedules to think of him, and I'm certain that when he is able to he will acknowledge it personally.
Finally, if a certain Mr Harry Potter would please report to the hospital wing as soon as possible, there's someone there who is most eager to see him. Harry, you have both mine and Madame Pomfrey's permission.
