Hello, all!

Well, I must confess my private envy at the students at Hogwarts this year for their studies in the developments and practise of Animagi. While becoming an Animagus has not been something I have always wanted to dabble in, certainly it is something that I would have enjoyed learning. I could, naturally, look into the studies on my own, but I scarcely have time to do more than go to the Ministry and come home as of late.

It becomes increasingly difficult to begin searching for a new home. As I last reported, I am, indeed, moving out of the Burrow and on up to "the East Side". (pennyclearwater tells me that this is a joke in reference to a Muggle television show.) However, I did not realise that the cost of living was so high! This is a bit of a quandry, all things considered. For one thing, I shall definitely have to inhabit a "flat", and it seems finding one in a wizarding community is a concatenation of waiting lists. Thusly, I decided to look into Muggle housing, and found that Muggle money is quite odd! Miss Clearwater has rather become my anodyne throughout this process, for which I am grateful.

I will admit that I have not discovered Muggle buildings to be the life of luxury, and I find that the owners of most such buildings are rather inimical when you inquire if each of the flats has a fireplace. Of course, I simply cannot explain that I need the fireplace to converse with my colleagues, and thus I am having a bit of trouble. However, I remain sanguine.

I cannot say that I am surprised by the ever maudlin Draco Malfoy and his newest puerile jeremiad; nonetheless, it does disappoint me to see events that are so very pejorative to the Prefect badge. In my salad days, the Prefect badge was worn with pride.

Minister Fudge shall be travelling en route to Bulgaria in a few weeks', and he is looking to put someone in as a substitution for the span of his trip. Of course, I could certainly never think of myself standing in for Minister Fudge, though there was a time I attended events qua the late Mr. Crouch, and I feel I handled it with flying colours. However, I shall endeavour not to get my hopes up too far.

A la prochaine!
