Apparently my Mom says that she's planning on heading back to Hawaii in May or June. I'm....frankly surprised as hell. :/ She thinks her marriage is worth trying to work out and Chris is supposed to have the Jeep in working order so Mom can GO places and get a job and such

That... sounds a bit worrisome. Like an abused woman going back to her abuser for whatever bizarre reason they do that. Stockholm syndrome? >_< Yeah. Worrisome.

Yeah...that's..more or less how I view the whole thing too. I mean Chris doesn't beat her or anything, but there are all sorts of types of abuse. :/ She went through this sort of thing with my Dad and..yeah. I don't understand it at all.

Oh man, that's exactly what I was afraid of. If it happened before, she's developed the notion that it's "normal" and psychological abuse is so much harder to identify than physical. :( She needs to see a counselor, like now.

It is exactly what has happened before. Granted my Dad is a grade A dickweed but my stepdad is not really great either. I know a lot of it is just because Mom is used to it..but..yeah. I'm hoping being away will convince her otherwise and I will gently make moves to suggest talking to somebody about it, but she doesn't really like to and I understand, but..yeah. I just don't want her to march back into the same shitty situation hoping someday it will change when it's never going to. -sigh-

But it's good to know that's not just me overreacting to it all because she's my Mom and all. ^^:
