No idea. Being a very special cheese lover, I doubt I'd like it. I like proper cheese. I'm a port and cheese person, only I can't have the port anymore.
And never, ever eat Cheez Wiz...wayfarer_atlasApril 6 2006, 17:12:06 UTC
Regarding feta (or any non-cow-produced cheese), have you determined if they have the same effect on you as dairy cheeses? If it's a lactose intolerance then this could help.
Regarding vegan cheese... Try some. Heh. Once. Though I am a vegetarian myself, I ain't giving up the cheese! Cheese is good! I don't miss meat, but I know that I would miss cheese.

I don't even know what Cheez Wiz is...
I'm a vegetarian too and damn I love cheese. It's not a lactose thing, though I was lactose intolerant as a child. It's a nasty bowel disease thing. Dairy affects me. To be honest, I need to cut back on everything and work out exactly what does affect me, but that involves organisation. I know for a fact that cheese affects me. I tend to have feta with other cheeses, so I've not been able to tell if it's any better for me though :-(

Oh, lordy, it's horrible stuff. And I forgot the 'h'. It's Cheez Whiz. Worse is the 'cheese in a can' variety, but even the paste-like stuff in a jar is not something I would willingly classify as food. Sure, it has calories, but so does compost, and I wouldn't eat that. I'm a food snob and I admit it.
I wish you luck for willpower, organization, and whatever else it takes to help you enjoy as much cheese as you can. I take it something like Lactaid wouldn't help?

I don't count processed cheese as cheese. It's plastic rubbish.
As for lactaid, no idea. I'd rather not mess around with stuff til I get a proper exclusion diet in from a specialist. But that involves me getting a new doctor and waiting months to get an appointment with a specialist. I just know that cheese makes pain, so I should stop eating it for a while really.
im apparently allergic to cheese but have noticed no real difference when i cut it out. And how can you not like cheese!?! Edams nice and so are the spicy ones. We have som cheese in claiming its extreme but ithink its lying

It may come down to special occassions though; or rather when my cravings are too strong!
