I may be deaf, I am starting to wonder, but I found this great band called Atomtrakt. However, they are considered as black metal/industrial/dark ambience. Can anybody explain to me, how exactly are they considered as black metal in any way? I just went and had a listen to it, and i agree, unless the 2 myspaz tracks are atypical of their sounds, the words blackmetal would certainly not even come close to coming to mind if i was asked to describe it. Martial, Atmospheric, Doomy ambient, sure.

I knew it wasn't black metal, but I started to ponder whether black metal had made this strange electronic/synth evolution in some part of the world, and perhaps that was the new "black"! :P And just happened to come to the same point as industrial hehe. The two tracks you heard are typical of their music, not atypical. I downloaded most of their stuff a little while back, but only really realised today that they even consider themselves black metal. Strange indeed! Though I really think they are quite good, nonetheless.
