Character Information
Name: Robert Chase
Fandom: House MD
Age/Appearance:
Chase is in his mid-thirties, has blond hair, blue eyes and stands at five feet ten inches tall. Being blessed with boyish good looks, Chase kept a clean-cut appearance in his first few years at Princeton-Plainsboro. Due to this he was dubbed the 'shiny haired wombat'. Later on however, he grew his hair out to the length of his shirt collar, switched his hair color to that of dishwater blond and kept a 'constant five o'clock shadow'.
History:
Robert Chase is an Australian and he is in his early thirties. He comes from a rich family but his father, Rowan Chase, a famous Australian doctor, disinherited him prior to his death. Rowan left the family when Chase was in his teens, which gave him no option but to care alone for his alcoholic mother until her death a good five years later. Father and son had a strained relationship, and when Rowan was diagnosed with terminal cancer, he never bothered to let his son know about it and when he died, the news came as a shock to Chase who ended up killing a patient due to his inability to focus at work.
Chase once attended a Catholic seminary but never completed his studies there. He had a wild adolescence, having experimented with drugs and sex. This has affected his work as a doctor as he always starts his differential diagnosis with guesses that the patient has either been taking drugs or has STD, especially if the patient is an adolescent.
He went to medical school and did his pre-medical studies at the University of Sydney and took up residency in neurosurgery at Melbourne Hospital. He didn't however obtained board certified status. Currently, he works in the Diagnostics Medicine department at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital in New Jersey. Chase's specialty is in the area of surgery, intensive care and cardiology. He was one of the longest serving members of House's team. When he was fired by House (end of Season 3), following an outburst (the reason given was that he had already learned all he could), Chase joined the surgical team at Princeton-Plainsboro and having the talent for it, he was quickly promoted to Head of Surgery. He stayed with the department for a couple of years but after working on a case with House (Season 6), he realized that he still wanted to work for House, and asked to return to the team.
Chase married a fellow doctor at Princeton-Plainsboro; Dr. Allison Cameron. They dated for a couple of years, and though things were great in the beginning, the marriage did not last long. She quit the hospital, left him and filed for a divorce.

http://house.wikia.com/wiki/Robert_Chase Personality:
Chase is strong willed, conversational and sympathetic to the needs of his patients. He tends to get frustrated fairly easily however and is prone to feeling annoyed or irritated by fellow doctors, and even certain patients, especially the fat ones, who he deems as being lazy, and not deserving of treatment at hospitals because according to him, they ate their way to obesity and therefore they should die. In that sense, it would be right to assume that he is not very sensitive either, but despite what comes out of his mouth, he does care for his patients.
Chase has a short temper. He tries very hard not to be ruled by his emotions but sometimes common sense pales in comparison to what he feels. So naturally, he makes mistakes from to time, but he always tries to learn from them; though not without going through a period of feeling completely worthless.
In the early years of his service at Princeton-Plainsboro, Chase was very much a 'yes man' and always did as he was told, never daring to challenge House. Thankfully, he has since grown himself a backbone and is more willing to speak his mind whenever he disagrees with his boss.
He is a little selfish, and sometimes, only ever thinks about himself. He is also completely capable of being a sneaky little devil and has no problems backstabbing someone if it means saving his own arse. Recently however, Chase was willing to get himself into a sticky situation - he killed a man (in the episode 'The Tyrant', Chase fakes a blood test in order to kill his patient; a dictator who had been plotting an ethnic cleansing in his country) believing that he was in the right and that the man deserved to die; that in doing so he saved thousands of lives. Chase almost loses his job, does end up losing his marriage and had to deal with the guilt.
Chase is an intensely secretive person. He does not divulge much details about himself. When his marriage to Cameron ended, his friends made every effort to get him to talk about it, but Chase repeatedly asked to be left alone to deal with the issue. Not liking the attention, he deliberately punched House when the man made mention of Cameron in the hopes of getting everyone to back off. It worked, and he apologized to House about it later.
He has a strong dislike for substance abusers (even though he'd experimented with drugs himself in his teens) and at one point, he was quick to blame patient symptoms on drug or alcohol abuse. This is likely due to his experience with his mother, who drank herself to death after his father left her.
Chase has a shrewd capability of deducing people's motives. He's smart but isn't too confident in himself. Lately though, he's started to take on a more assertive personality. He is also easily flattered; having never been given any recognition by his father, he just loves being complimented.
Chase is good with children and he tends to go out of his way to put young patients at ease and talk to them at their level. He is protective of them; probably a product of never really having his mom or dad around, and having to fend for himself as a kid.
Chase cares a lot for his job and having a career is probably the most important thing in his life.
Sexual Preferences/Orientation:
As a teenager, Chase experimented with both drugs and sex. He had a pretty wild adolescence and has also has admitted to being into BDSM in the past, but claims that his familiarity with the fetish scene was only because he had been dating a banker who liked to be burned.
Chase is heterosexual; he loves women, is perfectly capable of treating them right, and he has a healthy respect for them. He has no qualms about casual sex however and he'll never mislead a girl into thinking that he's interested in anything more than that. He is capable of being monogamous though as he married fellow diagnostician, Dr. Allison Cameron. What began as a "friends with benefits thing" turned serious after Chase realized he liked her and wanted to be with her. In the time they were together, he was completely faithful to her, but as soon as the marriage fell apart and he signed the divorce papers, he started sleeping around again.
