K I'm going to try and keep each of these brief.
Supernatural - Sympathy for the Devil:
I thought the episode was fair. I think SPN does a much better season-ender than season-opener, IMO (In My Time of Dying being the exception). 5x01 definitely had it's moments but A) I *hate* "fake Meg". If they can't get Nicki Aycox, then we should be doing without Meg. I can't stand that actress (haven't liked her since she was on Guiding Light when she was like... 10) and I couldn't stomach her delivery. WTF is up with the lisp? The actress does not have that lisp. This is a choice. And it's egregious. 2) I don't like Demon!Bobby. He makes me sad. But mmmhmmm the boys looked good. AND I now have a new favourite Dean-ism: "Cram it with walnuts, ugly." This after he called Zachariah "asshat" which is literally one of my fave insults EVER. I use it without prejudice.
Supernatural - Good God Y'all:
I enjoyed this SO EFFING MUCH. 1) Rufus, Ellen and Jo. B) Titus Welliver as WAR. OMG bring him back, pls. I need to rewatch but I have a feeling this episode might find it way on to a top ten list in my near future. LOVE. However, is it me or am I think only one who is a little bored with this formula: Dean and Sam discover a new case; Dean and Sam kick some ass; Episode ends with Dean and Sam having a painfully sad conversation. It just seems like every episode is paced this way... don't get me wrong... I LOVE their quiet little chats... but I prefer them to be more interspersed in the episode (a la A Very Supernatural Christmas) and not always crammed at the end. It's boring.
Bones - Harbingers in the Fountain:
SO happy to have Bones back!!! David Boreanaz. Mmmmhmmm. Yessir. I'm all about it. I *love* that he's SO in love with Brennan. What I didn't understand is why Sweets told him that his brain scan showed that he was NOT in love with Brennan before his coma... the last two or three episodes of last season were specifically about Booth's burgeoning feelings for Bones, n'est pas??? WTF? Anyway, I love the puppy eyes and the UST. Sigh.
Glee:
LOVE!!!! OMG and I have the BEST new default icon (see above) courtesy of
mediocrechick . Jane Lynch for the WIN!!!! She's always the funniest thing on the screen. I *hate* musicals. I mean... HATE... but somehow I don't hate Glee. Well, I wasn't too fond of the spontaneous song and dance routine at the car wash when Mercedes busted Kurt's window... but they saved it last second when they revealed she was fantasizing. The thing I hate about musicals is that I just cannot suspend my disbelief that out of the blue everyone I'm watching suddenly knows all the words, notes and steps to an elaborate musical sequence. Glee's not like that so I think that's why I tolerate it so's I can get to the funny. But they need to cut it with the lame boy band shit music and stick with Journey.
Office - Gossip:
Hard core Parkour!!! Fuck me sideways that shit is funny. I can't even express how brilliant this show is. They should tot's win the Emmy. I love me some 30 Rock but The Office is just genius.
David Duchovny on Regis and Kelly:
Did anyone else watch this morning??? OMG. HAWT!! I love him long time.
Big Brother - finale:
THANK ALL THAT IS HOLY AND RIGHT that Natalie didn't win the $500,000. I'm PISSED - HOT PISSED - that she managed to win $50,000... Kevin should have won but between Natalie and Jordan, I'm glad Jordan won. At least Jordan isn't delusional about how awesome and smart she is. And at least she WON some things. What did Natalie win? Next to nothing. She let Kevin do all of her dirty work while proactively trying to make herself look innocent when she was totally scheming and being a bitch. And again... how good lookin' is Jeff. Jesus. It ain't right.
Random updates:
I drank and entire bottle of Amaretto last Saturday all my byself. I swear it had no alcohol in it tho. You mix that shit with Diet Coke and it tastes just like Dr. Pepper. I was the LEAST drunk of all of us that night.
My brother's wife is about to pop out my niece ANY DAY NOW!!!!!! OMG. :) YAY!
I might have a job. My second interview is Monday but the hiring manager told me today he wants me. His boss wants to meet me before they make it official. I think unless she absolutely HATES me, I might get the offer Tuesday. Cross your godDAMN fingers - for both me AND my hubby who is awaiting word on his second interview with Microsoft as I type.
I was back on Monday but not inspired to spend much time online. I'm very stressed out and the prospect of sifting thru my flist gave me agita. But I'm back. I have 11/16ths of the
requests finished and hope to do the rest this weekend. :)
That is all.
