At least that I know of. At work a colleague was talking about a documentary he he had seen, something about weird worms, and apparently also about Darwin. At the mention of the name this suit from Sales or Administration, or something like that gets all defensive, asks "you don't actually believe in evolution?", etc ( Read more... )

I'd be tempted to borrow the DVD and then return it with an annotated critique. Not that it would have much impact, unfortunately.

I was tempted to suggest a trade I watch his DVD and he reads one of my evolution books (something by Dawkins perhaps). But he got pretty quiet after my Hovind remark and then started talking to someone else about a different topic.
I didn't want to push it.

Funny how this guy is a fundy Christian and he doesn't mind working for a company that makes a lot of money off of porn (we are a server hosting company).

Oh, another of his brilliant remarks after a colleague mentioned all the incest that must have gone on after Adam and Eve: "Of course, during the time of Adam and Eve human genes were still perfect." I was too stunned to answer how there was no "time of Adam and Eve".

Oh shit, I didn't even know there were Creationists in Europe! o_O
