I remember visiting my cousin in Michigan and going to an A&W. Bees swarmed me and I never went back.

Being a native of Michigan, the only place where you can get a REAL 100% Detroit Style Coney (which is what they serve at A&W).. they do not always wear poodle skirts and roller skates, although i think that would be rad. Secondly...ALL the A&W resturants in Michigan are drive ups that have the people that come to take your order. The kind that have the trays attatched to the menu. Its amazing. Just for future reference, Food+Rollerskates=BAD IDEA!
