Ever heard of JON Bon Jovi?

Yep, same person. And Jon is a perfectly "normal" name.

Ever heard of Bono and The Edge? Think those are their real names?

Probably not. Lots of singers have changed their names. It's perfectly possible that Bon Jovi is NOT his real name. I would look it up for sure, but I'm lazy.

On top of that, not everyone's name is English, especially these days.

While I do think that naming your kid after inanimate objects, LOTR characters or just plain random stuff is dumb, you may want to get your facts right before making all sorts of assumptions and judgments.

Okay, so maybe it isn't his real name, or maybe it is foreign, but just think of all the kids out there who really do have strange names for no more reason than because their parents had a weird sense of humour.

I'm not saying you don't have a valid point about parents giving their kids unusual names, but check your facts next time. I *did* look up Bon Jovi on Wikipedia, and here's what I found:

Jon Bon Jovi was born John Francis Bongiovi.
