Typical -  routine - manageable - all things I long for in my days right now.

My mother-in-law was admitted to the hospital last Monday with a UTI - those things do quite a number on old people. She couldn't stand and bear her own weight, and was confused beyond her already confuse-inducing dementia, so the facility sent her via ambulance. She's 87 ( Read more... )

I didn't know what C Difficile was, so I looked it up. Here's hoping the tests come back negative.

We got to see hr doctor this a.m. and she said if it's positive, they've already started the treatment and should, therefore, be easily cured; if it's negative, there's no harm in the treatment, so proactive was the right way to go.

But kiddo and I are both super attentive to the gowning, gloving, and washing up afterwards now - even the bottoms of our shoes get wiped down!

Rene is so completely oblivious, it's truly a gift.
