Seriously - I had planned to ask my dr. about getting the vaccine at my next physical. Hubby called his dr. when this all happened, and he said no need for the shot until he turned 60... I dunno, I think I'd argue with that.

And Gyro said he has shingles before I met him. It wasn't any fun at all. He couldn't stop work, though - had to wire up a boat. It's hard to imagine working through it.

Thankfully, my case was extremely mild - I don't know how I would have worked it it had been a more serious bout!
