All of our students are required to do at least 400 hours of internships, and I keep track of the paperwork. It totally got away from me last semester. At the start of this semester, I had a stack of papers as thick as my fist. So this semester, to catch up on my filing, I put away 25 documents a day, every day, until I got caught up. And now, I do the record-keeping and filing on the same day I get the paperwork. Not only does the "file this" basket stay clean, but I also get a feeling of satisfaction from staying ahead of it-a little shot of accomplishment after closing the filing cabinet drawer.

I'll take whatever wins I can get.

That's a BIG win, and exactly how I suggest clients deal with a backlog of papers: chip away at it, get caught up, and then maintain. Nicely done!
