I just got back from watching Order of the Phoenix at midnight (really around 12:30, after previews). Basically: Wow. It was insane. I love Harry Potter dorks. The audience was fantastic. SERIOUSLY! BLAH! I'm rereading the 6th book right now and wondering how they're going to condense it all into two and a half hours.

i wouldnt mind if for once the film wasnt 2.5 hours long but more like 4 hours long. i mean like, lotr movies are what? 3 hours long? why not HP movies?

Most people aren't willing to sit through 3 hours in a theatre. Running time also factors into marketing. When people hear that a movie is 3 hours long, they usually groan. Not good. With Lord of the Rings, well, Peter Jackson was crazy.
