Thanks for the suggestion. Yeah, journalism is too broad of a major, and I can't see you reporting the news or something. You should definitely specialize in music or film, or why not both? :P
Haha, We both had "What do I want to do with my life" moments in like the same week. I'm in the same boat in that I want to write, but not about English. I never bothered to think that writing skills just mean that you can do anything in the humanities that interests you.
But I suggest that you start to write articles on Entertainment for fun. Try to get them published in one of UO's student newspapers. It'll get you started, and give you a feel for the business.
It's the perfect time to be having those moments :D But I can't believe you'd actually transfer! I mean, I guess it makes sense, but you'd be leaving Columbia. Oh, and thanks for the suggestion. I'll definitely try doing that!
