It's right up there with my absolute favourite het fanfics. With the serial numbers filed off, it would make such an awesome adult romance. :)

(No, I haven't, alas. I put it on my ever growing to-read list.
Do you know this Draco/Hermione: http://hp-kinkfest.livejournal.com/117687.html? You may like it (at a mere 4k). :)

Absolutely! And agreed agreed about the serial numbers!

(Seriously - the rageprufrock one is JUST like that. It reminds me a lot of Elizabeth George, but with Haversham in a leading romantic role)

OOOOOH!!!! *runs to read the D/H*

This is the fic that really SOLD me on Dramione. School rivalries and the whole blood politics nonsense aside, this Draco and Hermione MAKE SENSE!

Completely!! And we use the rivalries and even the blood politics to make H/D make sense, so why not D/H ???

With "Politician's Wife", though, the pairing makes sense from a standpoint other than going beyond the enmity or wanting to see the pritteh!boys in bed together, IMO. I see both Draco and Hermione as intellectuals, whether by choice or by upbringing. Draco goes into politics for gain, stature, that kind of thing, and Hermione for her Causes ... no matter what the reasons, IMO that gives them more common ground on which to form a relationship than a love of Quidditch...

Oh absolutely! I simply meant that it's not a problem in H/D either. I love how this fic lays out what they have in common!

I've been in a fic funk for a while but this rec was too good so I just clicked it and read it all in one sitting. Ahh. Outstanding. Finishing it was like leaving two old and very good friends. Thanks for reccing!

Yayyy! We've ended a fic funk!

(It's so nice to read the whole thing. I remember waiting YEARS for those last chapters.)

They are old friends by the end, aren't they? This fic is EPIC.

I'm so in love with this fic right now. I hate having to put it down! The dialogue is so well crafted.

Isn't it stunning? The dialogue is SO good and so snarky :)
