Fred did not sit at his desk today. He was doing various weight lifting exercises, jogging in place, the works.

The downside being that anyone who came into the office was going to have to deal with a quite sweaty Fred Dukes.

Another Tuesday, another day in the office for Fred Dukes.

He'd finally bought a laptop (a big one. He had big fingers) and was surfing dating sites.

There was something severely pathological going on when Fred trolled these places, pretending to be a hot female model-slash-physicist.

He'd shut the laptop if anyone came in, though.

Fred sat in his office, fiddling with his incredibly vague lesson plans.

He still wasn't much of a planner. But he'd pull all of this off, dagnabbit.

Fred was working on his lesson plan for fall term. He had a lot of weeks to fill, so he couldn't possibly just improvise half the time.

He'd lost another two pounds. Again, a drop in a bucket, and he knew he'd shed a lot of weight fast but then the last bits would be really damn hard, but he was starting to get proud about it.

Fred felt like a total idiot.

He was sitting there, totally cheating on his diet with a pint of Ben and Jerry's, and bawling his eyes out at the movie on his TV.

He'd hate himself in the morning.
