And I say to this, AMEN. I will NOT stop believing, but I also can believe that the players bought into their own hype, spent a LOT of time playing like the Flyer's should've played (DIRTY), and didn't respec the game or themselves enough to just get it done.
And I think the summer off with training will be very, very good for them, because I love them still despite all the craziness.
Last summer was good for both Geno and Tanger, who both committed themselves to stamina-building. Tanger, at least, did so because he tends to be the last guy off at shift change, and he wanted to be less winded if he's out there for two minutes.
I think that this off-season, most of the guys should work on puck possession -- both getting it when they don't have it, and keeping it when they do. Faceoff drills prob wouldn't hurt either. We lost a ton of them this series.
Oh, and breaking news just this moment on my Twitter: Sid turned down Team Canada for this year's Worlds. Wants to spend the next four months plotting the demise of the Eastern Conference training and working towards next season.
