I still haven't really 'gotten' Jeff Buckley yet because I heard his father Tim first who is, at this point, more musically appealing. However, you are the second person with really beautiful things to say about his music, so I'll keep listening. Hopefully it will click.

It was so long ago that I was taken in by his music and I don't rely on it as much as I once did, but I've noticed one thing about people who enjoy his music; there is this kind of silent kinship that we gain through the tragedy of his song. We share little pieces of the same old soul and the fact something like that even exists is awesome.

What a relief to come to Vassar and realize that someone else was just as moved by his life and his music as I was.
