I've been writing long letters to old friends, short letters to new friends, and making roses out of clay.
The people I love and care about need to be reminded of how I feel about them, I think.

hide and seek
trains and sewing machines
all those years
they were here first

oily marks appear on walls
where pleasure moments hung before the takeover,

on thursday, noon, I leave for the ends of the earth. i shall hop on a train and go anywhere, everywhere! i'll be stopping at boston, and from there i travel the atlantic, across the sea to Fez, to Beirut, to Madrid, to Toulouse, Istanbul, Dublin, Utrecht.
