Though, being the die hard fan I am, I would be remiss if I didn't mention that the Yankees won the World Series. A couple of guys I've worked with over the years have similar raves about their surgeries, too. I'm glad everything is still going strong =)

My parents never cease to remind me that they barely remember a time where they didn't have to wear glasses. One's near-sighted, the other far-sighted, and whatever they put in my genetic milkshake had me pop out with near-perfect vision. My only real problem with my vision is some light sensitivity, as you might recall with my near-constant wearing of sunglasses when outdoors ;-)

My father jokes that I'll probably be like HIS father when I get older: only needing glasses for reading, and I'd probably be able to buy them off the cheapo rack at some drugstore. "Windowpane prescription", I believe is how he refers to it ;-)
