So I'm not sure how many of you use tumblr or travel in the same circles as I, but since the Pottermore announcement people have been saying things like "Oh God, I would die if I was put into Hufflepuff!" "Hufflepuff would be the worst!" which makes me super sad because Hufflepuffs are my favorite types of people. So I made a Puff appreciation ( Read more... )

That picture is more proof Hufflepuff characters are the adorablest.

OMG such a cute pic! Although I think Cas would be more a Ravenclaw myself, being a nerd angel and all! ;) Our first shot of him after he enters is him flipping through some books, and you know he enjoyed researching with Sam! :p

But ITA with the sentiment, I think Hufflepuff is a great house, better than Gryffindor tbh....I mean loyal and hardworking, that's good stuff!

For me Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff are the best....

(Lol sorry for the random, I was checking out your journal! :D)

Totes fine. :D
I argue that despite being a nerdy guy with wings, Cas was never much of a thinker. He was a trained soldier and while he had doubts he never really explored them or thought too much about them. I'm sure he loves learning, he seems very eager to do so, but I dont seem as this curious creative type that searches for answers for the sake of answers. He always has a reason for whatever he's learning.
Where as he is incredibly hardworking, loyal, dedicated, honest (well up until season 6 but I still consider that a big fanfiction by Gamble), and looking for a fair happiness for everyone.

I like all the houses equally but I have a strong affinity with Gryffindor and Hufflepuff since I'm a Gryffinpuff myself. :)

Fair point. Though hmm, on the honesty thing, I do love Cas, adore him, but let's face it, he hasn't been fully honest since s4, when he let Sam out of the safe room behind Dean and Sam's back and then NEVER ADMITTED IT TO THEM, and never owning up to the fact that in doing this he did in fact contribute to the Apocalypse as much as Sam and Dean did--instead he pins all the blame on the boys, and basically commits lies of omission (between that and Anna until 5x13). And then Dean did tell him that you need to outright lie to get what you want during 5x03, so Cas might have taken that to heart, as well as other instances...

You make points, you make points *strokes imaginary mustache*
But I'm thinking more casually, I think a soldier in a war is required to lie or be dishonest for the 'greater good'. I think if they weren't in a war, Cas is just a little too open and honest, but that's also probably a cultural thing too.
