I HATE SPIDERS! D:

Aug 16, 2008 22:03

Here I sit, minding my own business while talking to my sister, when I see this BIG FAT spider sitting on my pile of dirty clothes. I normally do not freak outover your garden variety spiders that I pretty much see every day, but this one was huge and mean looking. So of course, I screamed. I'm proud to say my sister did too, and we both yeled for ( Read more... )

I hope your brother's okay!! Let's hope it was harmless.

I'm absolutely awful when it comes to spiders, more so then snakes, there's just something about spiders that get to me... I probably would have banged into something out of fright. ('cause when I get scared I usually bump into things, haha)

There seems to be no more swelling, so it all looks good.

*shiver* Snakes get to me too. My reasoning as to why it's totally normal? Indiana Jones doesn't like snakes either :D

Guh. Wolf spiders. Those things are fast. And huge. *shudders* I am intensely arachnophobic, but wolf spiders are truly the stuff of nightmares. ...and now, of course, I've got the creepy-crawlies.

Is your mood icon from the new Oz remake? I haven't seen it, but I've heard good things.

I'm sorry to have passed the creepy-crawlies! lol

And I agree, those buggers are the stuff of nightmares. But then again most creepy things like that are in my opinion. I really cannot understand why someone would want to pick a career in which you mess with spiders daily, I'd go insane.

It is from Tin Man. And I'll add on to the good things you hear about it, since I think it's all kinds of awesome.

I'm thinking that I do need to keep a can of that around, in case there's round two.

AUGHHHH. I hate spiders. (Um but, once I find someone to kill them I immediatly feel bad. It was just sitting there. Now it's dead. Because I was afraid.) Yeah, I have issues.

But, you're lucky brown recluses don't live in California. They sure live here. Once, in my bathroom. THEY'RE TERRIFYING. Bit my dad once, he had to go to the hospital, and for weeks he had a spot on his arm where the venom had spread - flesh eating venom. AUGH SCARY.

I feel the same way. Thing is, I make myself feel better by keeping in mind that if the thing can hurt someone I love it needs to die.

You've seen one? *shiver* And ew!gross! that it bit your dad. I've heard about the flesh eating venom, which I have to wonder why the hell those things have that. You have to wonder at what evolutionary point they had to have that to survive.

I've seen a bucnh. When they're not terrorizing me in the bathroom (the rarely come out of the walls, thankfully), they're building webs outside. They make huge webs, usually across a doorway or between the cars in the driveway, and sit right there in the middle of them all night. Then they take down the web in the morning. Walking into one of those? NOT FUN.

I wonder about it too... I mean, how would that benefit them? Don't most spiders have venom to paralyze their prey? Isn't venom that eats away flesh sort of counterproductive?

SCARY!

That's what I think. Flesh eating venom just seems a bit over the top. But then again if I asked someone who knew all about spiders there is probably a reasonable explaination to it. And since they creep me out like no other, I'll let our questions remain unanswered lol
