I actually always imagined those post-award parties are a little awkward for both the winners and losers, so I'm glad you enjoyed that part of the story. :)

Thanks for commenting! I actually really like stories that deal with a prior J/L romantic relationship, so hopefully this story treated that scenario in an interesting way. :)
