in calc yesterday we defined transcendental equations as those that weren't algebraic. our professor was getting tetchy because nobody was saying anything, so he started asking us questions. and this was one resultant answer to "what's transcendental meditation, then?"

so chicago was awesome. saw the great tall penis, and then went to symphony center. the mozart on the first half was torture, nice, but it was painful to wait for Mahler. the perfomance was excellent (it's the NYPHil...) but Phil Smith must have been ahving an off night, because he made mistakes. missed notes and some fracking. it sucked a lot ( Read more... )
