You haven't done unjustice to the gender, you admit that you take part in it too... and I've been feeling the same way about Jive for a while. I guess church being the place where most of the time I spend with high school people is spent, so that might have something to do with it, but I see it there mostly. I'm not saying I'm above anything you mentioned but I definitely feel more of a separation from them a frustration with the situation, so I'm not sure what to tell you. But yeah, I guess all we can do is try to push ourselves in the opposite direction and see if anyone takes the hint. Who knows. We may be able to start trusting some people individually at first in a stronger way, and that's bound to start something.

I hear a lot of what you're saying on the last part lass. I try not to add to the problem, but I'm sure in subtle ways I do without meaning to. Trusting is hard and the best way to start I guess is trying ourselves to be more trustworthy, and to realize a lot of people won't follow suit or will even take advantage of it. That's a hard hit to take with not many people able to appreciate it, but it seems like the right thing to do.
