Asthma

My father just learned that I have asthma. I just learned that my grandfather had asthma. For the first time in my life I'm hearing about how he (my grandfather) used to cough and cough and it freaked my father out and he (my father) used to watch us (my brothers and I) for any signs of asthma 'cause he was worried it would skip a generation ( Read more... )

who knows why people withhold info? J's grandmother waited until TWO of her grandsons were insulin dependent to tell anyone that her sister had died as a child from diabetes.

Ugh. That's a little like my dad; he saw that I was depressed just like my mom, but it never occurred to him to let me know that it was a medical condition I maybe ought to be treated for.
