Tourism in Inverness

I started putting this together when I thought I'd be getting married in Inverness. Now I have to figure out what there is to do in and around Pitlochry (which should be plenty as it's main industry is tourism), but in the meantime for anyone thinking of visiting me in Inverness:

Make certain to include Edradour Distillery in your Pitlochry list. It is the smalled Distillery in Scotland and their product is excellent.

Totally agree with this! My favourite whisky. It used to be free to visit, but now it costs £5. Still worth it though, and if you buy a bottle you get the entry fee taken off the price. There's also the Bell's distillery which does tours and is right in the town centre. In and around Pitlochry there are tons of great walks, including the Black Spout waterfall and the dam/salmon ladder, and of course the Festival Theatre. There's also golf, and just up the A9 a few minutes is Blair Castle in Blair Atholl, and House of Bruar and the falls of Bruar. Aberfeldy and Dunkeld are lovely towns nearby. And of course, the Atholl Palace itself has activities.

I've already together a sample list of accommodation and transport info on our wedding website. PM me if you want the link!

I would love that link! I was going to tell you that a lot of the walks start on Atholl Palace grounds but then my brain caught up with my eyes (which were still reading).

That's one of the ones that you can walk to from our wedding venue. Well, I don't know how easy the walk is, but there's a trail :o)
