From what I understand, it's moving to Berkeley. This saddens me a bit, as a musician who's already abandoned the Plough once, I can't go play at the new one and expect to show my face at Plough ever again.
Sorry, I've been off-planet for a couple of days. I'm still going to write about how I feel on the Alameda aspect ending, but it's pretty much along what ribbin just said.
Really, for something that was only supposed to be a one- or two-week, "Let's blow off some steam and hope a certain idiot comes to his senses about over-reacting" event, it lasted almost four years, and that's pretty good. It just became financially unsustainable at the Alameda site.
To answer the question you asked, though, they're looking to move to the Finnish Hall near University Ave in a couple/few weeks. They're still working out the details.
For me, and I'll say this in a proper posting later, most of my friends had stopped coming. That's the biggest reason I ever went in the first place, even to the Starry Plough. It wasn't/isn't to play tunes. Sure it's among the top five reasons, but it isn't the top reason or even the main reason.
