Well, it isn't just that you tried, it's that you successfully and cogently pointed out so many things that were wrong with the article, including some of the more subtle things.

Well said. I didn't read that particular story, but I was shocked when I read it on CNN. Disgusting, and made all the worse by trying to blame a young child for the actions of a large group of men.

I stumbled across this separately today. I like your response, though if anything i would've been more forceful in the last two paragraphs and dropped the "I think"s, because there's no thinking about it: it is deplorable, and they do owe their readers an apology.
