Books!

Back in Finland now. The trip was long and I hate Frankfurt now. Next time, I'll make sure to fly through Heathrow :P I miss Canada, Carmen and cats. Shall go back there when I'm done with school in spring.

Anyway. Books! I bought lots of books in Canada. Also, I got a new scanner for Christmas. Therefore, a scanning party + book entry now.

1. Titus Andronicus by William Shakespeare (for class and hard to find).

2. Hamlet by William Shakespeare (for class).

3. Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare (for class).

4. Ouoku (or something) vol. 1 by Yoshinaga Fumi (a very fascinating manga on AU Edo period Japan).

5. Ouoku vol. 2 by Yoshinaga Fumi.

6. French Milk by Lucy Knisley (hello, internets :D)

7. The Demon's Lexicon by Sarah Rees Brennan (been waiting for the opportunity to buy this for ages :B)

So far I've only finished the Ouoku manga and French Milk and read a bit of Romeo and Juliet and The Demon's Lexicon. I loved French Milk, like I love the writer's drawings on her LJ :) It's so strange seeing the people whose work you know from the internet publishing actual books, but that fills me with hope. Maybe I can do that too, some day. When and if, you know, I start writing. I've wanted to write/draw a children's book for some time now. I also loved the manga. It was very interesting and intriguing, and I love Yoshinaga Fumi's simple and yet elaborate drawing style. She also makes her characters very much alive, none of that Magical Girl Pom Pom crap :P
