A poor, thrity something, gay man I know felt badelitedragon9November 23 2005, 07:16:24 UTC
I lost a friend today.
Never had to doubt her love, never had to make a painful confession to her, never had to wonder what she thought of me. She just loved everyone around her with every ounce of energy she had. That is important to a gay boy, especially a teenager, in ways you may never understand. Your dog will never disown you. And no other creature on earth can make you feel loved unconditionally like a dog can. She probably saved my life a few times. Maybe more than a few.
There is often a feeling when you lose someone, that there were things left unsaid, undone.
I dont have that feeling.
Seems appropriate, being thats it's just about thanksgiving.
