I know, I know, it's been ages since I've posted here. Between being busy and just sorting out the last year in my head I don't think I've been talky meat ( Read more... )

Speaking as a Christian, I would very much love to hear your thoughts. I hope it's somewhere I can participate and engage with something I think about already. I value your intelligence and thoughtfulness and am looking forward to what you have to say.

I've been thinking lately about whether or not I should start talking more about things spiritual, but I haven't had the guts you do.

Yes, my intention is that it be somewhere that anyone can participate. I was raised in a Christian home and attended Christian schools though undergrad. It's a big part of my heritage. One of the things I'm intending to write about has to do with some of the aspects of that community that I now miss.

This has taken a long time for me to get rolling. My intention is to stick with and to treat it as thoughtfully as possible. I realize that my opinions will not be shared by everyone reading the blog, but my hope is that if the tone is always kept reasonable then people will be able to participate and converse in a sensible fasion.

I can not wait to read your blog. As an atheist who grew up with an atheist family, it would be refreshing to read something about your path and how you have dealt with death. Having experienced a horrifically untimely death in my own family this year and trying to celebrate that life at a memorial full of people trying to shove religion on the deceased (who was not religious), it would be interesting to see another perspective.

I would also like to share your blog with my brother as I think he would appreciate it if that's okay by you. He loves this sort of discussion (and will really dig your domain name!).

As an aside, my Grandpa started the Unitarian Church in my hometown so our non-religious, philosophy discussing roots go back far.
