I must say your picture just might the most amazing one I've seen out of all of LJ. Was there any more press on the performance art piece than the link you have in your profile page? Did you do any other projects this bizarre and fantabulous? Curious, curious me.

Thanks! That's a nice compliment, considering some of the really creative things people come up with for their LJ pictures.
I have more of those in-ground ones that I should scan. I was in a sitting pose -- can you tell?

Mom's remark "God watches out for fools and nuns" from your November 27th entry: as imperious and grandiloquent as it sounded, it was actually appropriate. I just now remembered. Mom was all up in my grill about why I don't own a coat, same conversation as always, and I was trying to come up with colorful answers because she doesn't seem to remember the dryly factual answers I've been furnishing for the last twelve years. So I was like, "Whichever endocrine gland secretes antifreeze -- me and it have an understanding." No effect. So then I say, "the human body is, like, you know, a remarkable organism and shit; it will take whatever defensive measures are necessary to protect the idiot that owns it." So Mom replies, "God watches out for fools and nuns" -- not really a slam since I'd just called myself an idiot. So she shouldn't really be faulted for this
