Freak out!

I saw this Commonly Confused Words test in indigoskynet's LJ. I had a great deal of fun taking it so I'm passing it on for the edification of other English language freaks.

I found it funny that I still knew the right answers... even though I frequently (and sometimes willfully) ignore them in actual use. :-P For some reason, it was nice to have a chance to actually think about them again, though. Perhaps I should devote a day a month to doing it 'their' way.

In honor of your brainiac status I hereby bestow some virtual 'head pats' upon you until you can see your English teacher again. ;-)

chances are I won´t see my English teacher again, barring reunion, maybe, should I be dumb enough to go. so please keep up those virtual "head pats" ;) I might start purring, though

I am Extra-Terrestrial! I find it amusing that users aged 55 - 59 scored highest on everything. Goes to show you the english language gets abused more and more each generation.

And of course their English is an abuse of their grandparents' English.

Now we're talking! Yeah, that is part of why I ignore the 'right way' myself... just doing my part to keep the language alive. ;-) I am particularly creative in my use of punctuation. :-P
