(no subject)

I can't believe I haven't written about this yet.

Ok, so I was really downhearted a couple of days ago. (I know, "when haven't you been?") It went like this. I was in the middle of presenting a rough copy of the website I'm building to the Director and coordinator of the Honors College ( who BTW acts exactly like Loralie Gilmore so I can't wait to work with her) and somehow the subject of Mark Donovan comes up. Ok, I know how. They asked if they could get the picture of the benefactors of the Honors College printed somehow, and my friend Bryan (who was hanging out there on his lunch hour) mentioned that Mark had been the one to put it on the front page.

Background information:

When I first started at Cal Poly Pomona, one of my first classes was History 101 honors with Dr. Podany. On of the wide, and numerous reasons that that class was so great, was that I got to stare at Mark Donovan for 2 hours a week. Now, see, this was all before I was able to control my blush reaction a little more, and before I was able to string sentances together when I talked to male people. As willow would say " I usually was able to make a few vowel sounds, and then I'd have to go away." This guy, was so very charismatic and intelligent, and I was intimidated to say the least. And we sat near each other so we'd always be in the same groups, and I'd always feel so scared to say anthing. Anyway, I think that it was fairly obvious that I liked him, since I pestered him after every class about this archery club he wanted to start (which I would have joined regardless I SWEAR). Anyway, he sort of just wanted me to go away after a while, which was reasonable. I didn't know he had a girlfriend at the time, and he was totally justified in blowing me off.

Now, what happened last week was that when I asked why it would take so long to contact him, they told me that he had run off to live at a monastery to be a PRIEST! O.O I mean I could believe it, but I couldn't believe it. I mean, why is it that I am always attracted to guys like that. They're either gay, have girlfriends, or here's a new one become priests. Damn him, he better not teach, he's going to have those girls enraptured if he does. -.-

It shouldn't bother me that much, since I have since decided that he had a stick up his butt, but it sort of makes me wonder about my choices in who I like...

Anyway, end of rant.

Now, I am really excited because Jon Hamm is going to host SNL on 10.22.08. I love him on Mad men, but I don't think anyone watches it...so I'll have to celebrate over here in the corner by myself.

yay!!

Lol.

The Temecula Film Fest should be fun.I don't really know what to expect, but I hope the movies are good.

ummm.... Oh, more money woes. Washington Mutual, which surprise surprise is the bank that my parents decided should house our newly emancipated Indy Mac funds a couple of months ago is going under. So now, my dad is probably going to move his funds... which I think isn't really a good idea. If it's insured, and all other banks are so volitile, what's the point really of moving it somewhere that we still have a chance of losing it? No matter how much people reassure me that the FDIC will take care of it, I still say that they can't bail out everyone. If they can the Dollar will just become depreciated and well be screwed anyway.

God bless the US government -.- I really want to move to France now...
