 Just finished hacking on another long-term project, a really useful box. Nobody makes one of these as a retail product, you can't buy them in the shops. So what is it

I can find no flaw in its current designation.

(I got to the first "r" in "current" before I realized the pun. I'll stand by it, though.)

I can, in fact, readily visualize making and selling the things under that name.

Agreed - it does seem appropriate.

Just remembering back to the old Triang (I think) electrical projects set I had when I was a kid, which encouraged kids to wire up mains equipment to a relay with no safety features whatever apart from a thick bakelite casing...

I think one of my brothers had one of them. Rotten sods never would let me have a go at it.

Can't use Really Useful Box I think, since that's the name of a line of plastic storage boxes in various sizes.
