1337, also know as L337 or 'leet speech' refers to anew breed of internet language based on visually similar numbers replacing letters or combinations of letters and numbers to create slang.

for example, let's look at 1337 itself.

1 = L
3 = E
7 = T

many letters and numbers are interchangable or have several different possibilities for uses and slang.

haxx0r is a slang reference regarding 'hack' or 'hacking'. it's most often seen in the ohrase 'i'm going to haxx0r your computer'. many other slang words can be created simply by adding 'xx0r' to the end of it. roxx0r, for instance.
