Yesterday's NewsHour (Broadcast on Tue 30 Oct 2012 21:05) reported that Disney's taking over might not be a bad thing. It sold for over 4 billion dollars, it got Disney Star Wars, Indiana Jones, as well as Skywalker Sound and the special effects and all the merchandising. Lucas will stay on as Creative Consultant.
Disney also said after 2015 there will be a new Star Wars movie every year.
