Not much going on really. But I'm alive~! And I've been flipping through some Bleach (hence the new icon of beaming yay!). I realized that I haven't looked at it since at least a year ago. And I've learned a new respect for being able to recall the plot by just flipping through without having to read. Who needs words? XD Ahem... I mean... ._

Funny thing is, I recently had just the same problem with The Subtle Knife. I'd put it down for a couple of weeks, actually (and it's a library book!) because the very beginning just didn't draw me in.
After your post, though, I went back and gave it another try, and finally got into it. I think I started enjoying it when they went back to Will's world. I hope you have more luck with it soon, too!

Really? I'm not sure if it's because I'm so in the dark about what's going on or I miss Lyra and Pantalaimon. I'm supposing they come in eventually... though I could be mistaken.
That's good though~! Now I'll definately have to finish the first chapter. I almost feel bad, not having finished even the first chapter... Almost, but not quite. =D I certainly feel like I'll have more luck with it.
