i came to work dressed in my halloween nines this morning. i was a bit worried when i didn't see anyone wearing their costumes as i walked from the parking lot. i comforted myself by thinking that maybe they were in a different department. then i saw my labmates and no one else is dressed up except for me! :( this is one of my biggest fears.

did you think today was halloween...or did you guys have plans to dress up today as well. or are you just as crazy excited as me and think halloween should start the week prior and go all week long :D

i thought i switched the days, too, but i was so sure it was today because i remembered thinking "why is the party the day before halloween??" my department of the CDC had their first annual chili cook-off and costume contest today! so many people ended up dressing up here at work, it was so much fun and so much chili. plenty of vegetarian selections, too!

i think halloween celebrations should go on for the entire month of october! i am so excited, i get to wear my costume again tomorrow for trick-or-treating.

i know! i was upset all morning until everyone else dressed up for lunch time. i even thought my coworker set me up (she didn't). good thing i brought a spare set of clothes or i would have just DIED.
