yeah, more like it. it sounds unreal but when you learn about how they make them by hand and how the artisans are trained then it makes more sense. :)

(which will never come because I work in non-profits and therefore will never make that much money and even if I did, where would I wear that? oh well!)

i'm totally about buying nice things that you can use. why spend that much on a bag that will rarely see it's way out of the box? i think it's all about quality that you can enjoy on a daily basis.

my mom is a bit strange. i could tell you many stories. first, she thinks apartments in nyc should still cost 6 figures. (she hasnt moved in over 15 years)
but 75k for a sable coat is no big deal.
she think Hermes bags are plain and ugly
but she likes Chanel. actually, what russian doesnt love chanel?
she bought a $1200 vacuum cleaner for the maid 15 years ago, but she complains about the price of gas.
she will spend $200 at lunch on just me and her, but will actually try to BARGAIN with her SA at Bergdorf over skin cream. (who bargains with a fucking department store???)

hahaha, i love your mom! your mom haggling at a department store sounds so cute. i can see her doing that after she buys a sable coat without batting an eyelash. (75k for a sable coat is actually not bad. i saw some badgley mischka ones for 99k this season, which is probably still reasonable.) i'm the same way about certain things, like i went to buy erasers and i was upset i had to buy a pack for $2 instead of just one for 50 cents yet i find it acceptable to spend 10K+ on a bag. lol ( ... )

Oh, I was also wondering...you said you had those Miu Miu motorcycle boots, right? These http://www.barneys.com/b/browse/product.s?productId=496332&source=category&index=26&prodIndex=26&listSize=42&query=4769&dsnrIndex=true&categoryId=543853

I wanted to ask if you could make a post, or take a photo wearing them? I've been searching for some flat boots and these are the best I've found..Barneys.com finally got some size 6's but I want to see how they look on someone first!
