Ahhhh, the weekend...how I love thee. Last night joeysjerseygirl and I saw Notorious. It was a good movie. I thought all the actors were really well cast. The one big problem I had was Angela Bassett's accent. I heard a Jamaican accent once in the beginning and then not again. Not a huge deal but it irked me. And I read some people had a problem with the actor who played Lil Cease but I liked him. He was on an episode of Third Watch and I always wondered what happened to him. Dude, he is short. He is my height which made me think he was waaaay younger than he actually is. I was 17 when Biggie died and at the time 24 seemed so far off. Now that I am 28 it hit me how short his life and Tupac's life were. Oh, and Derek Luke who played Puffy had his dance down to a science. Whole movie: Thumbs up.
Had a staff meeting today at work. It was just an hour so it was tolerable. lol. Then I watched the All-Star Game skills competition. Best part of the night-Breakaway challenge where the All-Stars get to show off their creativity and skills. Anything goes! Alexander Ovechkin wins with:
I was on the floor dying. Leave it to Ovie. And dude, he got Malkin to help. There is supposed to be a huge feud between them...I guess not anymore. Mark Streit (Islanders) was in the hardest shot competition. He did not win...Zdeno Chara won with a shot of 105mph. A beast. Mark also competed in the shootout challenge, did not score, and then fell over an advertising sign on the ice. He looked like he was fine, he was laughing at himself, but I won't be shocked if tomorrow they say he's out 2-4 weeks with a stupid injury. ;-) That would just be the luck.
So now I'm trying to decide what I should do for the night. Surf the internet, pop in a movie, read a book, play Sims or just head to bed early. Hmmmm...
