Here's what you want to do to help it heal quicker - sitting at your desk, point with your toe, and try drawing letters of the alphabet. You'll find spots where it just *hurts* to move the twisted bits. Be nice to those spots. Do this several times a day for a few minutes each time.
What you're doing is keeping the ankle flexible (with weight off it) while strengthening the muscles. As you keep doing this, and the inflammation goes down, you should be able to work past the ouchie spots till they drop down to mild annoyances. Don't stop just because you feel better - this is a great exercise in general to do. I got it from my PT years back when *I* kept screwing around with my ankle.
Usual disclaimers apply - if it still hurts severely in a few days, you busted something, go to a doctor. If it lasts past a week, you really screwed something, go to the doctor.
