Isabelle Lightwood-Miles
- Sister-in-law to Desmond Miles, and little sister to Jace Lightwood, Isabelle is recently widowed. She's probably the most outwardly well-adjusted of her family, though she does - from time to time - help out Jace with his hits. Admittedly, she prefers the party life to anything he does, but the girl is nowhere near useless when it comes to fighting or defending her honour. She's very in touch with her youth, and still enjoys casually flirting. She typically can be found frequenting parties and speakeasies, despite the disdain most people have for the places.
The result of an earlier fling, Isabelle and Desmond are extremely close - one could assume that he was another of her brothers if it weren't for the touchy-feely way they greet each other. It's easy to see why her previous relationship with Desmond gets in the way of his current relationship with Jessamine, and even easier to see why the girls aren't exactly fond of each other. They do try, though, if for no other reason than Desmond's happiness.
A consequence of her upbringing and family ties to rather unsavoury things, Isabelle's best friend is Ryou 'Haseo' Misaki, a hitman. It's more than likely because she can relate to him on a personal and professional level, though he does complain sometimes about her tendency to either flirt with or mother him. Either way, she's always there for him if he needs it, ignoring any danger it might put her into.
