My friend Jess and I went to this thing today. This woman just did her doula workshop and she lives down the street from Jess. She had a get together at her house for the few other doulas in the area and some women from her church who want to be doulas or midwives. It was very bizarre. There's a mu at Sing n Sign who is a doula and she's not breastfeeding and she's never said anything to me about my tandem nursing which I think is weird.

How old is her baby? Did she BF it at all? Some people are so bizarre.

A midwife is a medical caregiver who cares for the mom and baby. Doulas are emotional and physical support for the mom and dad. They don't do anything medical. Unless they have extra training to do it. Like, if I trained as a nurse or a paramedic, I could ACT as a nurse or paramedic, but when I did, I would have to say, "I am acting as your nurse now and not your doula ( ... )
