chuck molly and i saw an enormous sea turtle around 3:30 am today up at the Amsden approach. we watched it, mostly from afar, make its nest and it was seriously one of the most amazing things i have ever seen

after getting over our initial shock and disbelief of such an amazing sight, our first concern was gettting in touch with someone who could mark off the nesting area. before we left, around 4am, we spread out a giant spot in the sand and wrote TURTLE in huge letters to alarm passerbys haha

I've did that with my sister a few years ago, it was totally awesome. It goes from like midnight to 6 in the morning, so you get to see the sun rise and such on the beach.

I was thinking about volunteering again, you should do it with me!!

i just called this woman Beth Libert who is supposedly in charge of the Environmental Management team...i left a message on her voicemail about volunteering...hopefully she calls me back.
