With nothing better to do, the peddler had made it his goal to explore the entire area surrounding his current little shop of wonders. There were several other shops of various kinds and restaurants littering the area and Swindle kept a running tally of anything and everything he found with the intent on pooling all his resources. The entire process took a day, his scanners coming in quite helpful for the overall mapping process and breakdown of the buildings, and once it was finished he had returned to his shop to get his thoughts together, lounging in one of the chairs he had claimed as his favorite upon finding it, spinning back and forth as he looked over his lists.
The shop next door to his had been a frame and upgrades joint. Datapads full of frame specs had littered the main counter and various upgrade options were displayed about. In the back was where all the 'magic' happened, tools resting where they had last been set and pieces of frames stored in two large stock rooms. Frames of all shapes and sizes were left there for Swindle to do with as he pleased and the ideas running through his head of what he could do with them..it was fantastic.
On the other side of his shop was an old hole in the wall little hang out that was definitely well loved at some point. There hadn't been much inside, at least not at first glance, but after ducking into the back Swindle stumbled upon what looked like virtual reality hubs of some sort and at that moment he probably couldn't have smiled wider if he tried. Oh the things he had in store for that little place!
Across the street was an art gallery and Swindle had spent a good hour browsing around. A few pieces caught his attention and were promptly taken on the spot, the 'Con having no issues with just snagging a piece here and there. (Wasn't like there was anyone to miss it after all~)A med center and research facility were down the way a bit along with a few more pubs and another shop that specialized in the more weapon-based upgrades...all things that could have their potential uses. There was plenty of stuff that he was going to eventually move to his shop and a few of the buildings he had plans for as far as converting and reusing went but the rest he'd leave for someone else to have fun with.
After organizing all of his data Swindle had spent the rest of the day working on his own little shop, starting to fill the back rooms with the goods he wanted to keep off the floor and assembling his 'display racks' for out front. He had taken a break to recharge for a short bit and it was the start of the new cycle that had him out and about once more, exploring a much wider area.
And it was during this second trip that the peddler came across a place that was familiar in that 'he had heard about it in stories' sort of way. It was nothing special to look at really, a large neon sign displaying the name while the glass almost-dome top gleamed slightly with a glow from inside. Swindle felt his lip components twitch a bit and he couldn't help but head down the strip of street that lead right up to the front door of the bar, reaching out once close enough to give it a test shove.
Open. Intriguing~
A slight shove and Swindle was inside, optics adjusting to the lighting then flickering in surprise as he noted the slight buzz to the air and the low hum of music. Movement caught his attention and he jerked around, his weapons humming to life as he aimed at...the bartender. Said bot merely glanced up at him as he dried a container then went back to what he was doing, not at all bothered by the defensive stance that the peddler had taken. Surprise swept through Swindle as he watched the bot for a moment, the tension seeping out of his frame as he slowly lowered his arms. Another moment passed before his pedes seemed to move on their own, taking the small 'Con to the bar and while still wary he lifted a hand and gave the tender a mock salute.
"Morning~" he greeted, his mask of cheeriness in place.
"Welcome to Maccadam's," the tender greeted in a gruff voice, looking up again as he finally set the container down. "What can I get you?"
