Scalpel was present, perched atop a table and quietly enjoying a novel from his datatracks. He lifted his head and looked at the returning Decepticons over his spectacles. He had been out briefly, to witness their work against the slugs - fascinating creatures.

"I am ze ranking medical officer here," he said, "I should inspect zese parts."

Megatron had been pacing the base, thoroughly inspecting each room. He had become bored waiting for the others to return, and after Scalpel had done all he could without any extra components, the warlord had busied himself with becoming more familiar with the layout of the base.

“What took you so long?” he growled, as Shockwave entered with Barricade in tow. He noted Shockwave’s arm seemed to be hanging limp by his side, and Barricade was covered in some kind of…filth.

Megatron’s optics narrowed. “Explain.”

Barricade waited for Shockwave to start the debrief. And...nothing. Great. So it was gonna be like that, was it? Barricade figured if things had gone well, Shockwave would be breaking the sound barrier with the debrief. However....

Awesome. Well, at least still stuck in his vehicle mode (loaded down) Megatron couldn't find his throat for some Choke Therapy.

"We ran into some resistance," he started. "Indigenous life forms, apparently territorial and...icky. We were heavily outnumbered. But eventually prevailed. Of course. for the decepticon cause."

The Autobot, though? Yeah. He was going to leave that bit to Shockwave. Wouldn't want to hog *all* the glory.

Shockwave had been planning on answering, of course, but his temporary partner (hopefully for not much longer), in what Shockwave could now characterize as a typical display of impatience, started speaking before he could organize his report for relay
